Back from the edge to the drawing board
When the vision grew tired and the fire cold
Our lines begin to fray so we leave them
Ten years from the seed but the husk survives
with malformed words to construct a crude alibi
The call as clear as day, none home to heed it
Post-integrity
No space left free
Myths reordered
False necessity
Conscience picked clean
We sign our own release
Back from the breach where the scars were sewn
Kept count, played out, patterned to bore
Exceptions end the rule, shelter from a sickness
In the distance a bed made, defenses laid
Lost the notion to measure, and destroyed the gauge
Few compelled to move with no threat of a witness
No intent in a backslide
No heartbeat to mark time
No plateau without a flatline
Outrunning our outrage
Understanding but unfazed
Inventing the next stage
Well-rounded like zeros
Talking up our symptoms
Muted in our burn out
From the ashes born another stranger
Lightening the load
Tired from the chore
Over thinking
Tattooed Love Boys gets all the attention on this record, but for me the real highlights are the two instrumental studies in the middle. Lydia & Crushow with its scratchy bass arpeggio intro and the soft acoustic gentleness of Not For Me, For Them. Beautiful stuff as always. Keep raising the bar y'all. endofanera
Play this album in the loudest system you can find, set to 11 and blow you and your neighbours minds. I find interchanging this with Carcass and early Killing Joke a great antidote for any niceness that creeps into my soul. pablo6580
